Although Sam Hornish Jr. is a world-class open-wheel driver, he has not forgotten his roots; he still spends his free time bowling and playing poker with his hometown friends and family in Defiance, Ohio. Like most racers, Sam enjoys anything involving speed. Sam is always looking for ways to improve himself. When asked about chapel, he responded, “I make sure I go to chapels. It’s a good opportunity for us to have the chaplain here at the racetrack and be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of racing and just be able to relax for a little bit and think about something else.”
