Lorena was born in Guadalajara and is the first Mexican to be ranked the number one women golfer in the world. She was also the second Mexican to become a member of the LPGA. In 2007 Lorena
accomplished two outstanding achievements; she overtook Annika Sorenstam as the World number one ranked women’s golfer and she won her first major championship at the Women’s British Open.
