Kyle Petty
NASCAR driver on Compassion
Compassion - Caring enough to do sometihng about someone else's need.
Kyle is the son of racing legend Richard Petty. He was offered college scholarships to play baseball and basketball, but his first love was racing. Kyle is known for his many charitable contributions, including the Victory Junction Gang, which honors his late son, Adam. In 1998 Kyle was named True Value "Man of the Year" and in '99 was chosen Winston Cup Illustrated "Person of the Year." Kyle states, "I think God put me in a position to say, okay you're not going to be the greates race car driver, but you can be the race car driver that draws attention to orther causes." What and inspiration!
"If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion - how can God's love be in that person?"
1 John 3:17 NLT
Look for someone in need and annonymously meet their need. Don't think of money as the answer; be resourceful in your approach.
