Despite being picked third from last at youth football tryouts Joel Penton quickly fell in love with the game and went on to become one of the Ohio State Buckeyes best defensive linemen. In high school Joel’s passion was football but during his freshman year something changed as he began attending Bible Study and found himself looking forward to that more than football. Joel says, “I have been at the pinnacle of college football, being a part of three Big Ten Championship teams and one National Championship team. However, nothing in this world compares to what Christ has given me.”
