Jay Yelas
Professional angler gives tips on patience
Patience - Exhibiting staying power to achieve what you hope, for now.
Jay Yelas has over twenty years as a professional bass angler, yet he still experiences a dry run every once-in-a-while. As any angler knows, patience plays a major role in successfully walking away from a day of fishing with a full weight bag. Jay was asked as a tealented angler, about the role of patience in the life of a profesional fisherman. He responded, "In a ten hour day you may make up to 3,000 casts, and on the average you may catch ten bass as day. "So, that is an average of one fish per 300 casts." Jay is in a sport where patience wins championships.
Tip of the Day: Lightweight Carolina Rig is perhaps the best way to catch a fish on a clear lake.
Take a moment to reflect whether the results are worth the effort: If so, stay with it.
