Aaron Cook is a pitcher for the Colorado Rockies and has played his entire Major League career with them. In 2004, Aaron almost saw his career and his life come to a tragic end. While playing a game in Cincinnati he became dizzy and was taken to a nearby hospital. Diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism and required to have emergency surgery, Aaron discovered how precious life is. Even though he knew God and had given his life to him, Aaron realized that he had endured this suffering because as he said to his wife, “I know why I am alive; God’s not finished with me yet.”

Verse:

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witness, let us lay aside every weight , and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…”
Hebrews 12:1, NKJV

Action Point:

When life gets tough how do you get through it? Ask God for some assistance and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
